Oblate is easy to dissolve in water and hard against oil.

 

Oblate is mostly used for wrapping powder medicine. It is important to dissolve fast in a stomach and start to take effect quickly. It is found that our oblate dissolves in a stomach in 2 through 5 minutes according to a dissolving simulation. Further, it dissolves in hot water faster than in water. Quite a few people have an experience that oblate had a hole with saliva or a drop of water and it was stuck.

oblate resists oil.

Tempura: Once tempura of ice cream was popular. It is said that ice cream
wrapped with oblate can be fried nicely. Ordinary oblate is too small to wrap
stuff in cooking. But, since it resists oil well and keeps the shape of stuff, we had
some inquiries from a restaurant's owner or chef.
Apply a piece of oblate on your nose and it should absorb the greasy sweat.
